The Union LA x Cortez SP ‘Off Noir’ reimagines the classic silhouette on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. As conceived by Chris Gibbs and his design team, the reworked model takes inspiration from Los Angeles, Union’s home base and a city that’s long been associated with the vintage running shoe. The traditional leather build is replaced with a combination of black suede and woven textile in vibrant blue and green hues. A gold ‘UN/LA’ tag adorns the lateral eyestay, while Union’s Frontman logo appears on a fold-over heel tab. Inside the shoe, a repeating Union wordmark decorates the cork insole. Updated tooling comprises a Crater Foam midsole and a herringbone-traction outsole made with Grind.
